Bukedea District, Uganda

We are fundraising for a clean water borehole in the Bukedea District of Uganda, and are hosting a celebration for this project in New York City on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 (get tickets here or donate here!).

Bukedea District is located in Southeastern Uganda, known for cattle trade and agriculture. Despite its growth, the district lacks clean water resources, and is still recovering from the decimation caused by Joseph Kony. The lack of safe drinking water forces people in the Bukedea District to consume contaminated water and travel several miles (by foot) to the nearest water source.
